Information We Collect
Depending on the features you use, InTheBlk may process account and authentication information, information you provide directly, financial institution and linked-account metadata, balances and transaction information received with your authorization through Plaid, user-created financial organization records, and operational and security information needed to operate and protect the service.
InTheBlk does not collect your online-banking username or password. Bank authentication occurs through Plaid and the financial institution's authorized flow.

- Connect financial accounts at your request.
- Display and organize accounts, balances, and transactions.
- Support budgeting, financial organization, review, and tax-preparation workflows made available in the product.

Plaid
InTheBlk uses Plaid to connect financial institutions. When you choose to connect an account, Plaid may collect information from you and the financial institution according to Plaid's privacy practices and the permissions shown during the connection flow.
InTheBlk receives only the financial information authorized for enabled product features.
How We Protect Information
- HTTPS/TLS protects data in transit.
- Protected cloud storage and encryption controls protect sensitive data at rest.
- Provider access tokens are handled only by protected backend services and are encrypted before storage.
- Authenticated, user-scoped access controls protect financial records.
- Multi-factor authentication protects sensitive account-linking activity.
- Rate limiting, structured security logging, monitoring, and alerting are used to protect sensitive operations.
- Documented information-security, access-control, incident-response, and data-retention procedures govern service operation.
Sharing of Information
We may disclose information to service providers that help us operate the application, such as cloud-hosting, authentication, financial-data, source-control, support, and application-distribution providers, only as reasonably necessary for those services.
In The BLK LLC does not sell raw Plaid-derived consumer financial data.
We may disclose information when required by law, legal process, or when reasonably necessary to protect the security, rights, and integrity of users, In The BLK LLC, or others.
Retention
We retain personal and financial information only for as long as reasonably necessary for product functionality, security, legal obligations, dispute resolution, and user-requested retention of financial history.
Additional details are available in the Data Retention and Deletion Policy.
Disconnecting Financial Accounts
You may disconnect a linked financial institution. Disconnecting disables future access through that connection and removes stored provider access-token material.
Previously imported financial history may remain until you separately request financial-data deletion or account deletion.
Deleting Financial Data and Your Account
InTheBlk provides mechanisms to delete imported financial data, delete your InTheBlk account, and submit privacy requests through published data-rights and support mechanisms.
Limited information may be retained when required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or other legitimate obligations.
Your Privacy Choices
- Request access to personal information.
- Request deletion of personal information.
- Request correction of information.
- Ask questions about our privacy practices.
Children
InTheBlk is intended for users who are legally able to create and use the applicable financial and application accounts. The service is not designed to knowingly collect financial-account information from children without appropriate authorization.

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the product, law, providers, or data practices.
